The BNP Paribas Open is an ATP Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a WTA Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour.


The BNP Paribas Open offers equal prize money for men and women. For each tour the singles draw size is 128, made up of 96 main draw singles and 48 qualifying singles. The doubles draw size for each tour is 32. In 2019, the tournament drew 475,372 fans over the course of the two weeks.
